We Never Expected Wike To Demolish Parts Of National Mosque Under Muslim-Muslim Ticket— Kawu Garba
Popular Northern Nigerian Twitter user Kawu Garba has responded to recent accusations made against Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.
The Daily Trust claims that Wike has given Engineer Shehu Ahmed Hadi, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), a 24-hour window to clarify the National Mosque’s status and the pay schedule for it.
This is a step in the process of getting Nigeria’s capital city’s main roadways expanded.
In response to the news, Kawu Garba said he never thought a minister would order the demolition of certain National Mosque components on the grounds of Muslim-Muslim unity.
He claimed that Wike had ordered the demolition of certain mosque components and the seizure of numerous plots of land that belonged to other Abuja mosques. Wike did something similar in Rivers State and got away with it, according to Kawu.
“FCT minister Nyesom Wike has given an order to demolish some parts of the national mosque in Abuja and revoke lands allocated to many mosques.
It’s on record that he did similar things as governor of Rivers State in 2019. We never expected this to happen under the Muslim Muslim ticket.” He wrote.
